WHAT IS AROMATHERAPY?

AROMATHERAPY...

The term of Aromatherapy is defined as "the use of pure essential oils to influence or balance to change or modify, mind, body or spirit." Aromatherapy is the art and science of using essential oils, the aromatic extracts of plants, for promoting health and well-being.

Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists defines Aromatherapy as “the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize, and promote the health of body, mind, and spirit. It seeks to unify physiological, psychological, and spiritual processes to enhance an individual’s innate healing process.”

Robert Tisserand gave the following definition – “Aromatherapy is a caring, hands-on therapy which seeks to induce relaxation, to increase energy, to reduce the effects of stress, and to restore lost balance to mind, body, and soul.”

The country that was first to perfect the art of aromatherapy was Egypt. However, Aromatherapy was rediscovered at the beginning of the 20th century.

ESSENTIAL OILS

The action of the essential oil on the body is holistic, combining both physical and mental aspects. Unlike most conventional medicines, essential oils work together with all parts of the body, to complement the natural healing and growth process, and to restore emotional and spiritual balance.

ESSENTIAL OILS APPLICATION:
